It was fantastic to see Sole Spirit win at Doncaster at the end of June under a great ride by Harrison Shaw. Congratulations to his owners The Freedom Spirits who live locally to the course and were understandably thrilled!
This win is a testament to the ethos of our yard and the ‘Smart’ approach to training as on this horse’s last start as a 2yo he was pulled up. While there was nothing obviously wrong he was given time to strengthen and mature and has been brought on quietly and patiently so that he could start to fulfil the potential we have always seen in him.
A big well done and thank you to all of the team at home who have all played a part in Sole Spirit’s victory.
