Operation Gimcrack won in fine style at Southwell on a very cold evening at the Nottinghamshire venue to get Team Smart off the mark in 2026. He was given a great ride by David Nolan to win comfortably by half a length. He gave his owner Mr P Chettle a very first winner as an owner and it was great that he was on course to enjoy this success.
