Bryan Smart has a great eye for a horse! He has the ability to see something that others may not and has a proven track record in sourcing winners and gaining excellent value for money. Bryan has consistently bought yearlings & two year olds at the sales then produced them to win top-class races, often for bargain basement prices. He attends all the bloodstock sales himself and personally inspects every horse on his list on behalf of his owners or other potential purchasers.

Anyone who wants to accompany Bryan at the sales has to be prepared to do plenty of walking as he leaves no stone unturned – or stable door unopened!  Such is his record for buying horses that other trainers have even asked Bryan to inspect and purchase horses on their behalf. 'Having had a lifelong love of all things equine in 2012 I decided to get involved in racing flat horses as an owner. On spotting an advert for shared ownership in a two year old with Bryan Smart at Hambleton House I paid a visit. On meeting Bryan and his staff who were all helpful and clearly very knowledgeable I was hooked. The last seven years have been a marvellous journey having had over 20 winners including a Group 1 and a Listed race which is in no small way down to a master trainer. On my journey I have met some wonderful people many of whom are now friends.
